Sodium Chloride Irrigation 0.9% (500 mL) is a sterile, non-pyrogenic, isotonic saline solution used for clinical irrigation and cleansing of body cavities, wounds, tissues, indwelling urethral catheters and surgical drainage tubes. It provides an isotonic medium similar in composition to normal plasma, making it generally compatible with living tissues and organs.
